Meet Our Instructors

Jim Fitch (USA)

Founder and President of Noria Corporation is a highly sought after consultant and trainer described by his clients as “Insightful, dynamic and thorough.” He has advised hundreds of companies on developing their lubrication and oil analysis programs and has taught more than 400 training courses in more than 20 countries. He has written various books on Lubrication.

Andy Sitton (USA)

Andy is one of S.E. Asia’s leading Oil Analysis Instructors, with a wealth of experience in Oil Analysis in the region, in such countries as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. Andy has established and managed Oil Analysis laboratories for such names as Optimal Systems Inc. and Litton Industries, before co-founding Focuslab Ltd. in Thailand. In addition to Commercial Oil Analysis, he has managed Military S.O.A.P Laboratories for the Iranian Department of Defense. He has co-authored several technical papers on the subjects of anti-oxidant testing, varnish and sludge control. He conducts Noria Oil Analysis and Machinery Lubrication Courses in Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia and India. His certifications are MLA I, II and III / MLT I, II / LLA I, MLE from ICML and OMA-I, CLS from STLE.

Andrew Monk (UK)

Andrew Monk has over 25 years of experience in the application and handling of lubricants associated with many industries in various parts of the world. Andrew specializes in lubricant and lubrication system recommendations, fault finding, troubleshooting, the development of planned maintenance systems, lubrication training, condition monitoring, and lubrication management systems. He develops specialized lubricants to meet specific requirements liaising with suppliers and lubricant blenders. Andrew has undertaken a market research project on the subject of ‘Industrial Lubrication’ as well as the lubricants rationalization project for the Ministry of Defense.

Michael Hooper (New Zealand)

Michael Hooper commenced his career in Agricultural and Automotive Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Failure Analysis. His experience spans 40 years in many countries across Europe, Arabian Gulf, Africa and New Zealand/Australia. He joined Noria Services as Training Consultant in 2013. Michael is also an experienced and qualified Technical Writer and has produced technical/engineering manuals and documentation across a vast industry base (Marine, Agricultural, Automotive, Aviation, Military, IT Software, Mining, Lubrication plus many more).

Udey Dhir

Udey Dhir, Chemical Engineer & MBA (XLRI) is the Founder of the Lubrication Institute. Udey has been undertaking consulting projects for over 30 years and has an in-depth knowledge of the industry. He has conducted various training programmes throughout his career as well as been a pioneer in introducing Lubrication related training in the Indian Sub-continent.

K N V Subrahmanyam

Core expertise is in Lubricant analysis, testing, interpretation, Machinery lubrication & Oil Analysis training along with Lubrication consulting and management. More than two decades of hands-on experience with troubleshooting machinery lubrication related issues in various industrial sectors including-Cement, Steel, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Manufacturing etc. NORIA Certified trainer for Machinery Lubrication & Oil Analysis Courses since 2012. Successfully conducted more than 100 ISO certified Machinery Lubrication training across India, the Middle East, Kazakhstan, Saudi, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Has a B. Tech -Mechanical Engineer degree and is ICML Certified including MLE, MLA-III, MLA-II, MLA-I, MLT-II, MLT-I. Certified Internal Auditor for the ISO 17025 laboratory Management and Internal Auditing.

Ganapathy Balasubramaniam

Mr Ganapathy Balasubramaniam is a mechanical engineer and has over 30 years of Oil industry experience with Hindustan Petroleum in operations, engineering and management. He is a passionate trainer and course designer experienced in conducting training programmes for leading academic institutions and industry leaders in India and Other geographies. He has trained teams of several companies in India, the Middle East and South Africa ADNOC, Qatar Petroleum, Oman Gas, Kuwait Oil Co., Oryx GTL, QAPCO in the Middle East, Engen Refineries, Vopak Terminals Durban, SASOL, Transnet and Puma Energy in South Africa. He is an instructor for Vas Tribology India, Lubrication Institute, TUV Nord Middle East, PetroEdge Singapore, IniPED, Delft Netherlands and Atlas Texas, USA. He is a member of ASME, International Association of Facilitators (IAF), Forums of Machinery Lubrication, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Hydraulics Institute and Energy Institute.

Manoj Srivastava

Manoj Srivastava graduated as Chemical Technologist. He has 32 years of rich experience in strategic planning, Plant operations in lubricant companies with proven abilities in enhancing production process operations, optimizing resources, capacity utilization, escalating productivity & operational efficiency while curtailing costs and expenses in various lubricant companies in India and Africa (Tanzania). He is experienced in carrying out lube surveys/ audits & lubrication training for end customers.

C M Sharma

Mr CM Sharma has over 30 years of experience in the field of lubrication as a senior manager in Tata Steel, from where he superannuated recently. He has been involved in every aspect of lubrication from the project stage to operations. He has handled lubrication of all major types of equipment in the Steel, Power, Mining & Cement sectors. He has been involved in several training and consulting projects all over India.
